Australia is generally a nation of hope; the people want to achieve, unemployment is low – compared to other developing nations, the air is clean, the beaches are unblemished and violence is limited. There is a lot to live for, so how these lads from Brisbane play such bleak, austere and desolate music is perplexing.
Recently signed up to Relapse Records and ready to release their second album in July titled Cloak of Ash. Hope Drone are not here for a good time. Post-Blackened-Sludge is one way to put it, drenched in atmosphere and hopelessness is another.
Cloak Of Ash will be available on CD, double LP and digitally via Relapse Records on July 24th, 2015. For digital preorders, go HERE
